So in my attempt to redeem myself for leaving the tumbleweeds to travel aimlessly across this blog page I thought I would share my findings...</div><div><br /></div><div><ul><li>A fantastic phonics resource (currently a channel on You Tube) launches on it's own website later today - <a href="http://www.mrthornedoesphonics.com/">Mr Thorne Does Phonics</a> is stuffed full of brilliant video clips to support phonics teaching and would be an excellent resources for both teachers and parents.</li></ul></div><div><br /></div><div><ul><li>Mark Warner, the amazing person behind the fantastic resource site <a href="http://www.teachingideas.co.uk/">Teaching Ideas</a> and also a great blogger has started to publish a series of Top ICT Tips for Teachers posters that are fantastic for reminding teachers of the ways ICT can help - the first poster is to do with keyboard shortcuts - priceless! These can be found <a href="http://markwarner.me/">here</a></li></ul><div><br /></div></div><div><ul><li>Another great blog to read is <a href="http://www.theheadsoffice.co.uk/">The Heads Office</a> - some great musings from a former Head who is very much still in the game with her views on the system today (also the lady responsible for my resurrection of this blog!!)</li></ul><div><br /></div></div><div>There are many many more to share, and I will aim to feature more of these as well as ramble on in my own little way from time to time!</div><div><br /></div><div>A little plug now, we have added tons of new resources to the site recently including both freebies and ready mades, and have also taken on some great new suppliers. So far this has been in pockets of the country, and our region (Swindon) has been hit regularly by strikes at least once a week. Consequentially deliveries are taking longer than usual to get through, so <strong>if you have not yet received an order that you have been informed of shipping then it is likely this is caught up in the backlog.</strong><br /><br />Royal Mail have been posting updates to the situation on their website and will continue to do this as the action looks set to continue over the next few weeks.<br /><br />If a National Strike goes ahead then deliveries across the country will be heavily affected. We will <strong>not be sending any Royal Mail deliveries on the day before the strike</strong> as it will only be held up in the system. We will despatch the orders after the action has finished - it is more likely to be delivered faster this way. We will where possible send larger orders via courier so they should not be affected (this will apply to all orders where the shipping totals £5.25 or more). If you would prefer to pay extra to ship via a courier during this time to ensure your order gets to you, please contact us for a quote before ordering.<br /><br />International orders - please note that airmail will also be affected as it is collected and sorted by Royal Mail before it leaves the country.
